Human Design Type
Your Orchestrator child
A perceptive guide who sees people clearly and needs to be asked, heard and rested.
In classic Human Design this Type is called the Projector. Quman uses the Quantum Human Design™ name.
Orchestrators notice how people and situations work and what they could become, often well beyond their age. They pick up on other people's energy easily. Their energy is not steady, so rest is a real need, not laziness.
How they decide
They do best when they wait to be recognized or invited before sharing what they know. An invitation shows the other person values what they have to offer.
Try: Ask for their opinion and invite them into things. Use the word: "I'm inviting you."
What makes them feel loved
To be heard. Not being listened to or recognized can hit them hard.
What helps
- Ask for their ideas. Let them lead a game or a family meeting.
- Be a sounding board: let them talk it out, reflect it back, and let them choose whether they want advice.
- Open-ended statements instead of yes/no questions.
- Help set up invitations: have kids over, use your contacts to help them find opportunities.
What to avoid
- Calling them bossy or a know-it-all.
- Treating them as a kid who should be seen and not heard.
- Jumping in with advice so they'll stop talking.
When they're discouraged
What it looks like: Bitterness, often said as "It's not fair."
What it usually means: They're worn out or feel undervalued.
How to talk to them
Use: Open-ended statements, and listening. Avoid: Yes/no questions.
Talking through a hard day. Try saying:
That sounds really hard.
What do you think you'll do about it?
Would you like my thoughts, or do you just want me to listen?
Type is one part of your child's chart
Two Orchestrator children can still be very different. Your child's report adds the rest of their chart and their age:
- How they make decisions, from their own chart
- Their profile and all nine centers: where they're steady and where they pick up the mood of the house
- What's normal at their age right now
- 3 scripts matched to their Type, and 3 Ask questions for this week's problems
Human Design isn't backed by scientific studies. Use this as a way to try something different, then trust what you see in your own child.
